I have an 84 big red. I am looking at putting a better lighting system on the bike, but the charging system isn't strong enough to run a brighter light system. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

See if you can find some automotive fog lights that are the right watts/volts for you bike. There are fog lights available that are Ultra White Light and are very bright for their size.

I tried using a for log and it worked fine while i was driving but i got off for a pitstop and it was unable to keep a charge with the lights on. I may try using one of the bright driving lights but i would need a better charging system.

Havn't seen any latley. A while back I saw one beside the road. It was a Yamaha somthing, 200 I think. It was yellow and looked kinda sporty.
There are alot of BIG reds running around here but I don't think any are for sale.

It's wierd to see someone else on the fourms from Nova Scotia. Where do you ride at in Halifax?

There is a trail system just outside the city, there is one int St Margarets bay, Tantallon. There are a few places but a trailer is mandatory. if you see something come up write me an email mswinimer@abmis.ca

I actually posted a forum for Nova Scotia but it fell to the wayside, there are only a handful of us

You can pick up just about any 4-wheeler mag and find an ad for Ricky Stator. You can remove you stator and send it to him and he will rewind it for your needs and I think the prices are pretty resonable to. If you don't want to be out of a ride for a while try finding a used stator on ebay to send in and then swap them out when you get it back. You can't go wrong because it doesn't even matter if the stator you get isn't working because you are getting it rewound. They can rewind that thing to put out enough power to run 10 fog lights.

You got that right man, There are only a few people on here from Nova Scotia. One member that I frequently ride with is mojavekid13. Hes also from New Minas.
Not even many of us are from Canada, I would say 90% americans.

Fellas just to chuck a quick update - - - Ricky Stator is unable to rewind the stator for the 200es, there is a place called Custom Rewinds that will do it. I haven't called him yet but I wanted to pass some info on for others. The guys name is Gary @ 1-800-798-7282
