I ordered two tires on Friday morning and asked them twice to be sure they had them in stock.
They (???) could not give me a total charge right away (??????) when I placed the order, so I called back Friday afternoon and they still had not shipped the order.
When I called the first time Monday morning, I was put on hold for several minutes and then asked to call back.
I called back after a few minutes and they informed me that the order had not been shipped because they were out of stock and they did not know when they would be getting any more.
MY ORDER IS CANCELED!!!! I can't stand being given the run-around.....

Certainly, you must be frustrated not to have the right part in the right place at the right time, especially when you did all you could to insure the stuff was available, mikeames. However, from the information you provide, I couldn't conclude beyond reasonable doubt the outfit lied to you--their inventory list may have been in error at the time you called; the tires in stock may have been shipped out before your order was processed, or the clerk may have simply made an honest mistake. Since they cancelled your order, instead of putting you on back-order, they're obviously not trying to string you along to wait for a late delivery.

Sorry you didn't get your tires, but you may be only a victim of circumstances, instead of the willful and personal damage of Dycorp, from the information available. Maybe discussion with the manager or a supervisor at Dycorp would provide further explanation of what happened, maybe give them a chance to make your inconvenience up to you.

good suggestions, tf. but in my humble opinion --aftermarket customer service on luxury items such as quads, snowmobiles, etc. is a COMPLETE JOKE. always has been. the long and the short of it is that these guys are in a high-margin, high-volume, but seasonal business. they crank it full blast then an abrupt stop. very cyclical business. and many of these outfits, dare i say the majority, are run by individuals who have not the slightest clue what a cordial business relationship is.

aftermarket guys like the company stated above, graydon, etc. are making HUGE profits -- let's not kid ourselves. and as long as we need parts, they are all too happy to grunt incoherently when we call them up begging. no incentive to change really.

got to go order my banshee exhuast now...

peace.

You're right, customer service often comes up wanting, fakie99. However, as a friend used to tell me, "Never attribute to malice, that which can be explained by incompetence." Since Dycorp cancelled the order, I see no motive nor profit in their deliberately lying to mikeames on the status of his order.

I believe it was a simple mistake. In the future if a company cannot tell you right then and there whether the parts are in stock or not or a total price, you should say," no thank you" and call someone else.Believe me someone will have the parts you need and will even price match.I have had to do this on a few occasions myself, always to my benifit,ie.better price or faster shipping time.

Dycorp is just down the street from my "day-job". I frequent their shop for assorted goodies and havn't been disappointed. Their manager seems very responsive. They seem like a small independent shop that values customer service. I'll pass your complaint onto them on my next visit.

I ordered my Dura Blue axle for my Wolverine from them. Even though the axles where on back order.
I must say it was the best service I have ever had buying aftermarket atv parts.
They must have called me 4 or 5 times to update me on the progress of my axle. Then they sent me a free ball cap. Sorry you had probs

I ordered a set of tires from them a few years back. It was during the day before UPS went on strike. I called them back after hearing of the strike and was informed that they would be sent throught the mail. I recieved them in due time but dissapointed when I looked at my bill. When i ordered the tires the ad stated 179.99 and they quoated me 179.99. When I got them, the bill read 209.99 + the shipping and handling. I called them back and told them the deal and was told that they would take care of it and call me back. Never called back and never refunded me either! I DO NOT deal with them anymore.
