Default Thinking about a drag ATV

Our track seems very slow compared to other tracks times, we have several highly modded drag only Banshees
that race and the best can do is mid's 4's.
I have seen posted times from many tracks on the web. and they seem to be about one second quicker than ours.
Our track is very loose, they drag a large drag behind a tractor with 8" spikes that really loosens up the gravel.
Fon instance a Banshee with few mods. such as maybe pipes, K&N filters and paddle tires will be lucky to run
low 6's. I have seen posted that in other places stock Banshees will run mid 5's. no way not on our track.
Check out www.neorvca.com to see our track. Someday I would like to visit some of the tracks down south
and out west, maybe when my son graduates high school, me and the Mrs. can plan a vacation and drive
to another track, bring the drag bike to have some fun.!!

i cant see any track being 1 second slower. That'd mean your streetbike buddy would be doing a 2.7 which is absurd. If anything it may be .2 slower like most of the slower tracks around the country. But i still couldnt see a zrx900 doing a 3.5. Id say most of it is in the setup and tuning. That really kills track times. To me it sounds like the track is fairly comparable givin that a 3.7 was ran with a heavy drag bike.

The 3 wheeler is a chrommolly frame made from scratch, the ZR 900 is also running
nitros for about 260-280HP. It is about 1lb per HP !
It also runs 31" truck paddle tires because it was ripping the paddles off of Skat Traks.
And yes on a fast track, with less wheelspin I think it would run around 3. flat.
but I have no way to prove it, and I don't want to argue with anyone.
I just wanted to say snowmobile powered quads are seriously fast
and fairly cheap to build !!

Its ok, ill argue with you, not to be a jerk, but to maybe help you understand what else people are running with more exotic setups. The record across the entire wide spread of "mp" powered vehicles that race on sanctioned tracks isnt even a 3 flat, its just north of a 3.1. And these guys have over 2x the horsepower as your homeboy, with years of setup going into their machine and running the fastest tracks nation wide. Furthermore that bike does not weigh 260-280lbs. Titanium framed and/or .035 xulw banshee frames are doing well just to get the 250 range with a light banshee motor, and SLS tires (approx 8lbs per tire/wheel). Id guess your friends bike weighs more in the neighborehood of 320-340lbs. judging by the weight of the motor, the 25lb+ each rear tires. which is irrelivant, but just stating for the record.

Tell your friend the scat traks hold up just fine. If guys with 600hp machines can run the scats, your boy can too

i dont meen to be an ***, but dont u know that diffrent people have diffrent frame setups that alow them to have bikes of diffrent wieght. that guys bike may only be 280-300 pounds. who r u to say it isnt? and how do u know that, that guy needs to run 31" truck paddles because it rips the paddles off the Skat Traks? baybe the track is a fairly hard one. it would be shedding paddles left, right, and center.
