Thinking about a drag ATV
My buddy ordered a motor it's a 680cc CR500 motor and it has a balanced crank, which is going in an 89 TRX250R frame. I run a 580cc quadzilla motor in an 88 LT250R frame. I dont know what class limits and stuff are, but we plan to run ours in single cylinder open class next season.

For ten grand you can get the quad I got and will be able to smoke them if they are like you say only going in the low 80 mile an hour range. And best of all do it on a stock quad if you can find it. With mine I can get up to about 84 or around their on a private road in about 200 feet if you can hold on. I got a gas gas 300 and for right now it is stock. You can buy one for about 9 and put a grand into it to set you apart only if you decide to go that way.

hey bubba, another one of them keyboard racers...lol
If you want to do a trx there are much better engine combinations then a CR500. I havent responded back to you because you obviously dont know what you want and havent done your homework. In short, if you want to do a honda you should wait because we have a new cylinder coming out that WILL put down 100 true hp and 65ft/lbs in a DEstroked version. The stroker's will do even better IMO. Banshee wise, best power for the buck is a 14mm cheetah/t-rex. If money isnt an issue the billet cased 20mm motors should run well when they are figured out. Personally i like my cranker because they look and sound different then the standard banshee. Faster then sh*t too.
