do you know if you can port and polish a four stroke and who does it can it be done to a 220 bayou.

Yes you can port and polish a 4 stroke, usually you want to leave the intake side rough to help atomize the fuel, if it was fuel injected, then polish both sides. I would think that doing that on a Bayou would be a waste of time since it is a small engine on a large quad with no hope of real upgrades since there are no real hop up parts.

Porting a four stroke is notthe same as a two stroke. The head is what is ported and not the cylinder. On a four stroke you want it smooth. However, just porting the head will not acomplish much. You need other work to be performed to obtain teh benefits of the increase in flow. Stiffer valve springs, higher duration cam, and freer breathing should be done as well.
