im trying to decide on which kind of plastic i want. Maier has trx250r STD. Does STD mean the stock look? then they have 'RACE' and '1 peice race'. then i see they have the 'new race' kind. if anyone has websites or pictures of the different styles of race fronts i would like to see them. do most ppl get STD plastic and custom trim it??? it looks like thats what they do to me. The fullbore plastic i have seen loooks sweet but how much does it cost? does anyone have a website w/ picturs of this kind of plastic? and where do the racers get the nose piece plastics w/ the scoop in it? thx

Why waste the money on factory plastic if you ride any where but the dunes? If you ride hard anywhere like on a track or woods factory plastic just doesn't hold up. It isn't worth the investment. Maier is the best way to go in these places. It stays looking better longers. The factory plastic looks good tell your first ride.

If you're looking for prices on Full Bore plastic, then try this site.... www.kandkatv.com They carry Full Bore and have the prices on their site. Maier plastic will be the least expensive plastic you can buy. It will be the cheapest looking plastic also. Maier plastic has a dull satin finish instead of the glossy finish of OEM plastic. However, you don't wanna pay the very high price of OEM. It's ridiculous. I hear UFO is about to offer plastic for the TRX 250R. They already offer plastic for the Banshee and it looks pretty good from what I could tell from a pic in a quad mag. If you go with Maier, then get their latest design fenders. The lastest design has mounting holes molded into the fenders to aid in installation. The older units have no holes and installing them is a pain. I'm waiting to see what UFO is going to offer before I finally buy a set for my R. Hope I've helped....
