Im trying to put a new axle on my 87 honda 250r trx the nut on the right hub is stripped also the threads on the hubs have made a groove in my rim so that wont com off any sugestions on how to get these off. tried eveything

I don't know if a nut breaker is made in a big enough size to fit the stripped nut. You might check that out. If not possibly cutting the nut with a power hack saw or even a manual one would be an option. Not being familiar with the hub's shape in relation to your rim on the R, I'd have no clue to that problem

I purchased Metrinch. Yeah I know it sounds cheesy, but it's a life saver when it comes to switching back and forth between Standard, Metric, and the occasional rounded / stripped.
You would be amazed what I've been able to take off with it. I wouldn't give it up for anything! Money well spent in my opinion. The set can be bought at Sears starting around $100.

evan99, I had the same problem on a 250r that I was working on. I ended up using a dremel tool (or air die grinder) with a thin cutting disk and cut the nut off. If you take your time, you shouldn't mess up the threads on the axle.
