Well I cracked my plastic all up on my 400. I want to put 250r front 2 piece race cut on there. I was wondering if the 250r front will fit...I know the front mounting brackets are the same but is the plastic too skinny to go over the gas tank? Like where the 400ex has side panels? Will the hood fit up right? Will the Rear plastic meet up with the 250r front flush? Also should I just skip on a gas tank cover since I want it black or do I get a 250r cover or a 400ex cover? Any help appreciated. Btw I wasnt the 250r because I think the sides look better and i want a hood so that I can have a black strip down the center (black hood, gast tank, and seat) with white fenders. Also anyone know of a black ram air hood that isn't carbon fiber?

buy new 400 fronts, cut the center out, and run a 250R hood, if you want white plastic you'll have to buy Maier, or shell out 600 bux for new OEM Honda 250R plastic (ouch)

Yeah but I like the whole look of the 250r better....the sides and everything. With the grooves in it...also does the maier 400ex all 1 piece or do you have to get side panels?

400 plastic works on an R, no reason it can't work the other way around. 600 bux is some serious cash to drop on plastic tho
