Do any of you guys know where you can get old atv frames, like at a junk yard or something......I was also wondering if you had any idea where I could get some nice engines(like from a crotchrocket.....like a 650 or bigger)......I want to build/start a project quad, and make a dragger....but I need some ideas of where I could get items like this. My funds are kinda limited(me being a college student and only 19)....so any help would be nice, thank guys.

 

i got all of my stuff off of ebay for my 2 gixer quads. i probalby spent $4000 on everything and never had one bad deal.

 

cool......what do you reccomend for a quad frame, and also what for an engine, I was thinking something pretty big.

 

if you are around 6' tall or so i would use a quadzilla 500 frame as they have a ton of room for streetbike motors. if you are smaller i would use either a raptor(but they are expensive) or a quadracer 250 frame. you can get the 250 frames for cheap. as far as a motor do not use one older then a 2000 model. the new tech motors are way lighter and more powerful. my wifes bone stock 600 smokes my friends totally built yamaha 750 in his raptor. his motor is like an 86 so it is very heavy and doesnt make a lot of power for the size.. i dont know why my pics arent showing under my name??????

 

The pics have to be approved by a moderater.....cool, I think I will look into it more on ebay. I was thinking a quadzilla frame, or a 250r frame.....I am about 5'10".....I was hoping for a motor close to an 800 or so, hopefully I can find something. Thanks again.
