Yz250 Motor in Quad
#1
Me and my buddy just got done putting an older Yz 125 motor in an ATC 250R frame. Now I was thinking about putting a Cr500 or Kx500 motor in a quad. But everyone talks about how much they vibrate. I'm now thinking about putting either a Cr or Yz250 motor in a warrior frame. I just wasnt sure if this motor would have enough power to pull this frame. If i get a motor it will be an older one like an 85 or something. I just want it to be able to keep with 400ex's mainly, if it went faster than that it would be even better. Any input would be nice....thanks.

Put the cr or kx 500 in the warrior frame. My nephew just put a yz 250 on a blaster frame, he`s trying to get the bugs worked out but having a little problem with the power valve. Or better yet do like the guys at my local dirt drags find an old school street bike ( air cooled/carbed ) atleast 750 and put that in your warrior.

your best bet would be to put in a lt500 quadzilla motor in it. unlike the cr and kx 500's the suzuki is counterbalanced. as long as you fix the bugs that plagued the suzukis they are reliable. i had one in my quadracer 250 frame and smoked most banshees. it was putting out around 70hp and was extremely light
