I have ridden bikes my whole life (currently a 2000 Honda CR250r) but have always wanted a quad to mess around with. i have also always loved building things. i just acquired a '93 CR250 engine, and have thought about finding a frame to stick it in. i can weld, and make any adjustments (reinforcements, motor mounts, etc.) but the problem is i have no idea where to start. i know where i can get all kinds of frames, from banshees to old 250r's, but i don't know what would be the best choice. basically, i am looking for the easiest way to do this. it would make sense that, this being a honda engine, a honda frame would be the best route. BUT, this is a honda engine off of a bike, not a quad. and being a bike guy new to the world of quads, i am more adapted to vehicles of the 2-wheeled persuasion. any tips on how to make this easy and semi pain-free would be great. oh, and if it helps, i ride in the woods, not on sand. i'm not sure if different frames would be better for either, but i thought i'd mention it.
thanks,
steve
