I'm gonna be doing some modding this Christmas, and I'll need to buy a new sprocket. Is there any way to estimate the size sprocket I'll need? I'm gonna be installing a wiseco 11:1 piston, and a hotcam stage 2 cam. How do I find out what sprocket to get?

 

Ride it first after your mods, then you will have a idea of what you want. Go from there.

Depends on your riding and your terrain. Some places I like a 14/40 but in the trails I usually run a 13/41.

maddog, what mods do you have?

and that gear calculator doesn't seem right. a stock raptor revs to 9000 rpm's right? that calculator says at that rpm, it's running 92. how is that?
