repacking silencers?

i have a 99 banshee with power core 2 silencers on it lately there is a smell from the back of the bike when i shut it off and i think the packing in the silencers are getting bad is there any special way to pack them, or when i repack them do i wrap the packing in there real tight to where it doesnt get loose? any info would be appreciated

Get FMF silencer packing it works great and has instructions on the bag. It cost around $10 and is enough for a couple uses.




1991 Lt250r :
Ceet seat cover,DG alloy front bumper,DG alloy rear grabar,DG alloy nerf bars ,Emgo bars,Pro design kill switch,Maier plastic(Looks awsome I put lots of cool stickers on it),Uni air filter,Shockwears,Parking brake block off,RTC clutch lever,Motion pro twist throttle(took a while to get used to!),Leager A arms ,Ohlins front shocks(got them with the quad the look kinda old),Homemade motor skid(from speed limit sign),Turf tammers on back,IPT hole shot up front,And probly other stuff to but I cant think of all of them rite now.
