Silencer Repacking

I was wondering how often are you supposed to repack the silencers on the FMF PowerCore II.

I was wondering about that too...

I guess it makes sense to pop the end off and see how burnt the packing is. I have never changed the packing in any of my pipes. Maybe it's time to look into it.

Actually you should repack any repackable silencer often. I do it every 3-5 races, because you can feel the power difference (You actually gain back more bottom to mid-range power when you repack it). So depending on how much you ride, how often you repack it will vary.

You can when your silencers need repacked when the sound changes. I have a Dyno Port 2 into 1 pipe, and it sounds like an indy car when the packing is new....and when its burnt, it sounds like an dirt bike.

Just an easy way to tell

I used to race dirt bikes and we repacked ours about every couple months.I never felt any power difference. later
