Default preperation 4 storage

i know yoiu should add some stabilizer to your tank before storage, but what if i wasn't planning on storring it, and did not do anything. My quads have been sitting for about 2 months now and i did nothing to prepare them for the sitting. i was wondering if i should drain and clean out the tank or carb or float bowl or something. Or will it be ok to just go out and ride next week. this will be the first sitting season for my quads and am unfamiluar with the situation. clue me in please.

Take some carb cleaner and fresh gas with you just in case they dont start. If they dont start, you know where to start looking.

Turn off the gas, drain the bowl, pull a quart out of the tank and mix the right amount of stabilizer for a FULL tank into it. Dump it back in, rock the bike to mix it up, and start it up to fill the bowl with the treated gas. As long as you had it running, now it's warm, change the oil and check the tire pressure. Hook up the battery tender, give it a kiss and you'll be ok till spring.

i usually just use all the gas up till its not running no more and drain the carb and then let it sitt for a bit then drain the oil out and wait till time to ride again ..then when its time i get carb cleaner and spray the carb and add gas and oil and its ready for the season no big hassles on anything gettting old and gelling up or anything
