Default Slip-on vs full exhaust

What are the benefits of each? Is the slip on in any way better other than price?

Not really the slip on gives you some hp but no where near as a full exhaust would. Slip on's for the price arent worth it. I know that the Full exhaust systems are very expensive, but it is worth it down the road.

depends, with HMF's slip-on, it actually gives you more low-end then the full system, but the full system really makes more power up top because of the larger header. If you ride trails, and stuff, i would save my money and get the slip-on, if you are going to mod it more down the road, cam, piston, ect. go with the full system. good luck, what exhaust are you looking at anyway?

That is very very true. I have the White Brothers Slip-on on my Z and it is a nice pipe don't get me wrong. But I feel like im not getting the power I really want. It has good low end power but you berely notice it. But I don't want tons of noise maybe a little bit more noise but not much. I think sometime in the future im going to go with either the Alba or Yoshimura fullsystem when I move to Alaska with my girlfriend. They have no sound restrction. But I live in Maine so I can't have a great pipe that gives me power because it will get me in trouble as soon as I start it up. But i would defifintly go with the full system.

Yeah, the slipon will still have quite a bit of restriction for top end power. Just go for a whole system, save yourself the time of putting the exhaust on twice.

If your Wolverine is the quad you are asking about, very few pipe makers do full systems for that bike simply because the stock head pipe is plenty large enough. When you add a torque stuffer ( to aid low end power) you are actually making the head pipe id SMALLER.

IMO, unless you run at high RPMs a great deal, or have a highly modded motor, a full system is not justified.
