I recently replaced the piston in my Warrior with a 12:1 aries. I did not bore the cylinder but did hone it with a bottle brush type hone putting a nice cross hatch in the cylinder with no uneven spots. When I run a compression test with the throttle in the closed position I get a reading of betweeen 120-130 psi in the wide open position I get over 180psi. Is this the way it should be? I asked a similar question last week but I didnt test with the throttle open at that time. I probably should have bored the cylinder and bought an oversize piston but like they say hindsight is always 20/20! Any opinions or experience with compression testing ?
