Just curious if any one has tried this system. I have thought about it for my yfz 450. Are the rods good enough? Pistons are forged.

 

Yes I have a 20 hp shot on my 2001 scrambler mod and it sure wakes these things up. Its awsome. It works great on the four strokes like the yfz. You should definetly look toward getting a set up. You can either get a 20hp shot or a 40 but the 40 shot ruins stuff. You would be really happy with the 20 shot though. my bro has one on his predator and that things wild. Your rods can definetly handle it.

 

What about timing? do you retard it? Seams really hard to trust pressurizing the float bowls for extra fuel but if it work it works. What was breaking with the 40hp shot? I have ran nitrous on alot of stuff so I am familair. I have a 2 stage that I use on my snowmobile but you need to use a fuel pump ect.. I dont want to deal with all of that on something I want to trail ride.

 

I've been around guys using the Boondockers on YFZ's. You can see a nice demonstration of it on Alticity's Saint Anthony sand video. Norm runs it on his and it's very reliable and makes big power. He runs away from my piped jetted YFZ like it was a Blaster.

 

just saw the video on boondockers webb sit the system looks like it works pretty sweet. They show two YFZ one with and on with out its not even a race.
