HEY DUAL . i dont know of any sites off hand but i can help steer you the right way. if you want a cheaper easy reverse. find a polaris or skidoo sled that has electronic reverse then you dont have to have a trans. you just make a jack shaft setup and align the clutchs and your set. as for efi a friend is doing one using a artic cat f7 and he is having a few problem . it doesnt like not having a air box. it idels finebut when you rev it it will go dead on one cyclinder. he is going to find some one who will make him a new chip. but when its done it will be cool.

www.snowest.com is a great place. I would go with the ski-doo 800 rer motor if it was me but if you need efi then there is the polaris 900 but there arent to many after market parts for it yet.

i'm probly going to be looking at some older sleds first, how long has bombardier been making the RER system or other electronic reverse system? i know rotax makes great engines.
i've noticed some arctic cats w/ reverse too, is that mechanical or electronic? specifically the thunder cat & mountain cat 900 & 1000 sleds... maybe the ZRT800?

<edit>...... just did a little research, the A.C. use a mechanical reverse

well the deal is like alot of what others on here have already said, the gear in the golf carts are really low based on the size and power of what comes in them from factory. the only way to get one to go faster is remove stock rear end and get a sport fourwheeler rear axle and use a jack shaft belt to jack shaft and chain to the axle. You could find a Polaris transmission out of a sport then you would have forward and revrse. Or if you got a 800 triple rotax with RER that would work too.

I have a full out fitted zrt 800 carbs every thing 2001-02 cant remember but I will see what I have in it and shoot you a number. As far as any other motor pick one and I can get it. My friend owns a cat, skidoo shop and also has a salvage yard 1985-to present. So there is alot to choose from. I originaly was going to run a skidoo w/reverse but there are some problems with them they have only been out for a couple of years so they are real pricey. Plus there is a huge surpus of parts for cat they are like the 350 chevy of snowmobiles as far as parts go. Some thing that we have found also is that arctic cat are the cheepest to modify as far as big bores and pipes. I drag race a zrt800 chassis w/an 1108 hooper w/ 2stage nitrous. You can put reverse on any motor just need to run a gear box then. I am direct drive( primary to the rear end) on my cart you will loose some power with the gear box.

Me and a couple of buddies just dropped an old polaris 440 indy motor into a 94 ezgo golf cart. The motor is air cooled and the golf cart has a forward/reverse selector on the transaxle. This setup works sweet. We had the cart ripping up and down the street in just a few hours. This thing is amazing it will stand right up and wheelie even with two people in it. With a little throttle control you can actually ride wheelies for quite some distance.
