Me and my friend are going to build a Banshee with a 650 ninja motor. Is this going to be alot of work or will it be fairly easy? Also what kind of mods have to be done to the frame? and if there is something else that we are going to have to do please let me know.

I just finished a 650 in a quadzilla frame and it was a big job. I had to lower the frame 2" to get the drive sprocket to line up with the swing arm and raise the top spine 2" to clear the valve cover. I think it was worth it tho this thing rocks, it handles well and is very fast. As far as putting one in a banshee I don't know but I suspect the banshee frame is even smaller than the quadzilla. I would measure all directions with the drive sprocket centered on the swing arm because thats where the motor has to be that will tell you what your in for. Also it's a lot simpler if you have the wiring harness and the electronics because street motors need battery power to run unlike dirt motors. good luck

I saw a guy at LA Dunes who had a Raptor witha Ninja motor in it. It was pretty sweet and fast as hell, too. The bad thing is, I saw on here about a year or so ago, that he was killed while riding that thing into a lightpole. That really sux, but he did have it looking like a factory install and had it running really good.

Trail riding is no problem with mine the motors are designed to handle the stop and go riding you face on the street. the reason I did the conversion was to make the quad more trail friendly and more reliable. I loved the stock 500 2 stroke motors performance but got burned out on the rebuilds and constant tightening of nuts and bolts due to vibration.
