Flooding out!
#1
Well a while back my 2000 Warrior kept flooding out.It would pour gas out of the overflow tube and then after a few minutes it would run fine.
I took the carb apart and cleaned it cuz there was dirt and junk in there.Put it back together and ran fine til the other day.
I came off a jumb not real big but i landed like forward first.A couple minutes later it started cuttin' out and i smelt gas real bad.I looked and it was overflowin from the tube again.Well after a bit it quit doin it.I thought the float was stuck.Well it keeps on floodin out i guess.
Is my float stickin or what?I just cleaned the thing.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanx!

Sounds like the float valve is not operating correctly. When the float rises, the tang on the float should depress the needle in the valve & shut off the flow. The tang should rest lightly on the valve but not depressing it. If you're not certain the valve is not gummed up, then I'd replace it as defective. I assume you've already checked the float level itself.
P.S. If you do find it necessary to replace the float valve, it's usually wise to replace the entire assembly as a unit.
