The thumb throttle is hard to push, like it is catching and it makes a clicking sound. I took apart the thumb throttle and everything was fine. Does anyone know what is wrong with it?

My dad was riding it the other day and it would not move and then it broke free and now it is fine. Something is definatly messed up. What do you have to do to get the cable out of the carb?

 

You'll have to get into the carb & disconnect the cable from the slide, then disconnect it at the throttle.

 

Ok thanks. I took it off. I had to take all the plastic and gas tank off to get to the carb. I don't have any cable lube so i sprayed wd40 into the cable and it is better now but it still is not right. I called all around for the part and had to order it. the cable cost $12.

 

If you still have the cable out of the sheath, you might want to try to check the sheath itself for any obstruction that could be snagging the cable, since you didn't mention seeing any problems with the cable. A good grade of lithium grease, like that used in grease guns, would be good as a cable lube. WD40 has very little lubricating quality.
