Default Performance for an import...

Well I want to work on this new Yamoto I may get from my fathers friend for $800 Its brand new good deal. Its a 150cc, I know Universal Exhaust's I can get and shocks, I can add skidplates but What about airfilters Im no mechy, But I want to add Speed before I even start rideing it. I heard that they can take alot of abuse from a 250 pound man and its max wieght is like 210 im 150 5'9" or so. I was told to get the new honda TRX250EX but I think for my age and experence thats a little to much power for myself and if I wreck at least I wont have to pay more for parts. Also is there a site for Yamoto 150cc ATV's Performance Parts or Acc's. Or Does anyone know what I could add to it that wouldnt take alot of work off the start? Please help me. I saw a friend going about 40 Max on flat with it I want to push 40 to get near 45 50 with it. Its no beast but I know it will need some more to get more band for what I can. My budget for performance/Acc is about $500

Your not goin to get a lot of power out of a 150 with out boring it or doing other major modifactions.

im confused. you dont want to get a 250 honda because its to much bike, but you want to make a bike go faster that you've never ridden? if you want to go with the 150 to learn on go for it, but dont mod it. filters are ok, but its like puting a supercharger on a GEO. it isnt worth it.

FYI, the honda 250ex is a great machine to learn on. its light wieght, enough power and a semi auto tranny. in my opinion and other peoples, it is the ultamite beginers quad

You could also get a nice used 250X, or 300EX that you could (somewhat) mod later on.
