Default bike engine in quad

i was wondering if anyone has ever takin a yamaha yz 125, 250, or 490 bike engine and put it into a blaster frame or has seen this done? If it is possible i would like to do this because im running a blaster in a quad open class in new york in the district 3 and they dont have any specific classes for different engine sizes and i dont have the money to buy a 450, 250r, or anything along them lines. any info would be nice. Thanks alot

O sure, lots of guys stick bike engines in their quads. It's not that hard of a concept you just need to build brackets and spacers to hold your engine in there. Of cource every thing (sprockets) needs to be lined up perfectly and you will need to make sure your quad and you are ready for this increase in power. Good luck.

Don't forget to do your homework regarding vibration mediation....

Bike motors aren't counterbalanced like a quad motor... they vibrate alot... crack frames, vibrate bolts loose, hand go numb... and the list goes on.

They do run good though... not sure it's worth it.
