my quad is too high...

ok, party people...i have a question for the quad gurus out there....i am thinking about purchasing a new quad (new for me..it's an 87 250r!!!)..man i am excited....ok...here is what i have to ask. they guy that owned this before me has his bike set up mainly for desert racing.riding. rewound stator, big lights, and that stuff. he also has laeger's 3" a-arms and 3" axle in the back, works triple rate shocks and a bunch of motor mods. Now the question is...the bike is so dang high (physically) and i would like to know how to go about lowering the bike a bit, or so i even need to? will it still handle as well in the corners? i am more interested in using this bike for MX and big jumps...please let me know steps to take to lower this bad boy. thanks in advance and see ya later...

I have TCS shocks on my 400EX and they are great and really lower the quad. They will definitely help your cornering. The lower you are the better your cornering will be better. What corners better a monster truck or a NASCAR?
Also see once you get air born on the TCS shock they will heighten to give you full travel and cushion your landing. So just cause you are riding low doesnt mean you have no travel for the big jumps.
