I was thinking about making some reed spacers for my wifes banshee. We currently have Toomey T5s kit and 2:1 filter. The banshee runs really good, I was just trying to find a way to make the powerband hit a little sooner, she has a hard time keeping it piped up on hills sometimes, not because there isn't power, but because she doesn't like to rev is soo much.

Anyone with experience in banshee reed spacer or have any suggestions on how thick they should be?

Thanks,

Reed spacers are going to make a very minimal differnce. I personly dont like them, but a single carb set up may be the ticket. This will add lots of torque and bring the power down to a much lower rpm and spread it out more. Compression and timing advance will also boost and broaden low end power, which will make it much easier for her to stay in the power while running way less rpms. But you have to be careful, because you can make it too torquey and the bike could get away from her.
