I went over to Rockymountains site and looked for a set of ITP Xct tires. Im was looking for a 20x11x10 tire to get more width, but they dont carry the xct in a 20. The 22x11x10 costs $67.95 which isnt a bad price. I then went over to Moto-man's site to find some rims (cant find any at rockymountain), looked at Douglas 10" 5 ON 110.190 RIM - Red Label, The part I am confused about it is the 110.190. Everyone tells me to get .190 but what the heck is the first number "110"? and it has "5 on" what the heck does that mean? (YAYA ima rock) I see other rims as 54 on 166.190 and 4 on 115.190. Explain please?

Anyways besides the confusion the rims were $47-$51. Now include shipping and tax and we come around a ballpark figure of $276.00 for the tires and rims. Now when I get the rims and tires I will have to put the tires on the rims, and we all know thats not an easy task.

NOW, at the dealership they have a set of ITP Holeshot XCT's of 22xsomethingxsomething on a set of ITP tims for $288 already put on.

Why wouldnt this be a better deal?
And please explain the top part as to where I am confused about the rims.
Oh, by the way, would I have to change sprockets to keep stock gearing with the 22" tires?
**EDIT** Nevermind about the rim confusion, figured it out 4 on 115 is what I need, 4 bolts at 115.

Thanks

I guess you were looking at Holeshoots right. You can get the tire size you want in a GBC Shredder. Tire is basically the same design. I've rode the same set of tires for nearly five years. Cross country is just about all I ride also. They offer a 4 and 6 ply in this tire. That 110 that is confusing you sounds like the metric sizing. The .190 is the thickness of the aluminum used to make the wheel. I've got .190's all the way around on mine. I've run into trees and bounced off of rocks and I have yet to bend one. The 5 I think generally pertains to lug pattern and amount. If you order rims and tires from Rocky Mountain they are already mounted on the rims, all you have to do is blow the tires up. A bead breaker is a good investment if you plan on busting tires much, unless you like your local tire shop. The 22's are nice but they are tall. I've got 20's on mine and I can clear over most anything. I'd ride it before you decide to change sprockets and see if you like it. When we going riding HOMEY!

Dont buy your wheels and tires seperatly, look for the tire/wheel combo deals. It should save you some cash!!! $290 seems like alot to me I bet you could save close to $100 with a combo deal.(and the tires are already mounted on the rims, just air em up and put em on)

Thanks again for the help. Im getting my catalog back! from my friend and checking out RockymountainATV to see the tire/wheel combo deals to see if I can get them cheaper.
Im looking for either Maxxis Razr 20x11x10 (but they dont make a 6ply in this style) or Bandit 20x10x10XC. On rims the 01 shee pattern is 4-115 and am looking at the 10" .190's.

Hope I can find a great deal.

Jenn,
Drop me an email of the next time you go riding. This weekend I have drill and also on the 8th, 9th and 10th of December as well. The rest is free.

4 on 115,4 on 110 means the no.of stud holes and the distance between the stud holes measured in milimeters.the 4 stands for 4 studs and the 110 and 115 is the distance between the studs.hope this helps .

I like smoking 01 Banshees after dinner or a nap with my R.......sorry, guy, but this has gone way off topic.

YES!! 2 stroke motors smoke. After your bike breaks in, run a good synthetic oil (Klotz, MC1, Yamalube, whatever) but make sure you run it at 40:1 to 50:1 and you'll have less smoke.

Have sun smoking cops!!!!:-)

Of course It will smoke !! Some times, a lot !!
I would say that , IF you are going to RACE, then go with 40:1 BUT if you are not, I would go with a 32:1 fuel-oil mix ratio.
With less oil will be more friction and then more heat and wear of piston and rings.
If you are not going to race , THEN IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY !!!!

I know its going to smoke some, but after the first few times of me cranking it, it smoked alot! Guess I wasnt use to dual pipes, the blaster only had a single pipe but still smoked. Since the shee has 2 there is more smoke.

We just went riding near a small field near our house and had some fun with it, it was really muddy as well. My friends were on dirtbikes and throwing hella mud roosts. Got about a good 2 hours riding in, and got the shee pretty muddy.
