Hi everyone.
I bought a pro motion twist throttle, but couldn't have the idle kit...that I didn't want anyways (55$ for a tap ,a drilling stuff, and 2 "special" bolts...no way). I have everything I need at home, except ONE thing, where do I have to drill and put the "bolts" in the carb? There's one thing "suspect" 2.5 inches from the bottom of the carb on the side...looks like it, but is that right? Don't want to drill my carb and discover that I was wrong.

Thanks in advance (If you guys have pics of this, email me PLEASE) that'll be great!

I'll make it easier.
I'll post some detailed pics of the carb, with the place I think the idle bolt is supposed to go.
It will be on the site as soon as possible (within 1 hour or so). I'll tell you.

Is there a Motion Pro website? Maybe they have the installation manuals online?

There it is. Check the website, go to the carbs (idle kit) pics.
I cercled the place I think I should drill, tread and put the "bolt". Is it right?
If it's wrong, there's the one with numbers everywhere (I think) possible.

I wouldn't mind trading, but I already have bought the twist throttle (just missing the idle kit)...but if you want the thumb throttle, email me. I won't use it again...well, I don't think. Just miising the TORS wiring (didn't have enough patience to take it off from the bike).
Anyways, thanks a lot for the idle "hole", and email me about the thumb.
BTW what's the toomey kit?
Thanks again for the idle stuff.

I'm assuming that the bolts that your using from "home" are tapered at the ends right?

I can scan the instructions from the motion pro idle kit if you need them.. (I think I have them in a folder somewhere)

You are going to have to do some filing also. The holes on the stock carbs are all ready there. They are the ones on the sides of the carbs that are drilled...but not all the way through. They are angled and will have to be filed flat prior to drilling the holes...then tap them. Make sure you use lock nuts or springs...or You will lose the screws while riding.

They're not tapered yet, I'll do it once the carbs are ready (drilled and tapped). But don't worry, I know how it works, so I don't think I'm gonna do anything wrong without seeing it.
You talked about a spring...where do you want to put a spring? Between the carb and the bolt head? I was planing indeed to put a locking nut with bronze or soft plastic washer (so water and air don't come in).
Is there any tapering angle you would recommend? I'll do it 45 degrees...anyways, once the idle is set up, I won't touch it anymore.
Anyways, thanks for the advice, ride on, and I'll keep you guys informed on how it works.
Ride on!

Yes...I was talking about a spring between the carb and bolt head. But a nut would work too.

Not sure about the angle of taper...But you seem to be happy. so cool..glad it worked out.
