Quite a bit! To start with, the R has a 50 pound weight advantage. My buddies vintage R is wickedly fast, light, and eloquently simple!

I would do the basics like EHS Racing airbox lid, UNI filter, header and muffler, and a rejet. I would stay out of the engine, if you want a reliable machine. You still won't beat it, but just be happy riding behind it and wishing you had one!

Did you get those rear bearings fixed???

 

yes i did but i still havent went riding yet

i am thinking about a new front bumper so i took the stock 1 off and twisted a bolt off u got any ideas on how to get it out

 

I have a 400ex and all I have done to my performance wise is a cam, pipe, and jet kit and I can eat a 250R.

 

Drag or track? The 250r is a better drag bike, period. But I've seen quite a few 250's stomped on a track and raced enough to know they don't rule tight trails by any means.
