My brother just bought a CB 450 street bike and is going to put the motor in his Blaster. Has anyone tried this? how will it fit, it looks like a pretty tight fit to me.

I cannot give any specifics...never seen anyone try something like that.... I fear that the machine will either vibrate you until you can't stand it.... Or stress the frame/components really bad.

In my opinion he shouldn't do it. the motor is way to big for the little blaster frame. its will vibrate till it falls apart.

Isn't that an old bike? I think the old CB750s HP was in the 30s. The Blaster motor probably puts out near the same HP as the 450. It will be slower with the extra weight and will handle like crap.

Again...I'm not totally sure about the motor. But it would be a tight fit... I'm sure the motor has a counter balancer of some type.
It will weigh more...and chances are that you will not be able to mount it the same way the blaster motor goes in. Which leaves the frame and mounts to absorb any vibration.
Of course it can be made to work...But after all the money that would be spent on updating the chassis, suspension, motor mounts, pipe, etc. I just wonder if it would be worth it. There is so much to think about...If you have the parts and willingness to experiment...well give it a go!!
I just don't think I would try it.
