Other than Toomey's, which pipes do you all recommend..My buddy has a stock 99 Banshee and hes narrowed it down to PTR mid, FMF Fatty or the new Pro-Circuit..He wants a good all around pipe.I know some of you will say Toomeys or LRD, but he has ruled these 2 out...Thanks, DaveR

I've heard Turner were good all-around/torque pipes. Don't forget DMC (they're a bit more expensive) and DG (these are cheap).

I have had Toomey T-5's, FMF, and LRD. LRD (which I currently run) are by far the best of the three I have used. They are just an incredible pipe. Aside from being adjustable (never adjust mine) they deliver a great power. You dont have to abuse the clutch nearly as much. The power is there. They are one of the most expensive pipes out there, but they are worth every red cent. I am curious as to why you say your freind (ruled out toomey and lrd). Has he ever owned and used both? What makes him an expert on this?

Don't rule out the new FMF sst pipes, they rip, much better than any other FMF pipe for the Banshee.

The pipes (expansion chambers) slid over one another. Buy increasing or decreasing the length of the expansion chamber you alter power delivery. It is a good setup except for the leak factor. You do have to put high temp. sealent between the two parts of the pipe. It isnt a big deal. There is just not a good way for two peices of formed metal to slide over one another and be air tight. I love the pipes. I wouldnt go with any others. Including the FMF SST pipes. I saw a post earlier that says their not cracked up to be all the great. And they cost nearly the same as the LRD's.

I think the T5 Toomey pipes are the sweetest sounding but my advice it to talk to a shop that supports all brands and see what they think. All aftermarket pipes make more power than stock but now if you want more lowend and midrange grunt the Duncan rules.
