Over the winter i want to pull the motor out of my 97 banshee and redo it. I just put pistons in it during may but i want it fresh for next year. I want to get it ported.
who does good porting?? and it wont take 3 months to do.
I am also looking into the 370 long rod or 400 big bore.
which will give me the most ?? and reliabilty ??
or with a long road and big bore. say around a 420.
who does the best work and what would u say is the best.

Boy! Did you ever open up a can of worms! I will give you my 2 cents for what its worth. I had CT put their 370 Long rod kit in mine about two years ago. I have been really happy with their work. Allen is a great guy to work with. I have stomped other quads on the holeshot. The motor is scary fast. I dont even feel the need to go with bigger carbs. When I slapped on the LRD pipes and took off the FMF's I was really impressed. It has a buttload of torque and a fast top end. I have only popped in a new top end since the kit was put in. So yes it is reliable. But while you have your motor in a shop you had best go ahead and spring for a Hinson basket and heavy duty clutch. I ate my basket and new clutch pack up in about 2 months after I got my motor back. Allen told me to ahead and put in the Hinson basket, but I didnt have the bucks after paying for the kit. I also know that LRD makes scary fast banshee motors. And they also do a pretty trick shift mod that isnt like CT's mod. I have delt with both CT and LRD and they are both great companies. You better get your motor out quick!! Its that time of year. Your probley gonna have a chitty wait anyway. But you will love it.

would a 370 be enugh do u think ??
i make almost every hill here with it now and they are big.
what about the alba kit ???
or port magic id like to hear some info on them if you could.
i also herd that othon racing takes awhile to get done.
I have to wait till like febuary to do it anyways.
