I am in the process of trying to get a 1994 Blaster running. I can not get a spark. I have checked the wiring harness - it's ok. Is it possible that the magneto has lost its magnetism, or that the stator has gone bad. Any hints??

 

when i was rebuilding my XR i had the same problem. the cdi checked out fine with the meter and every thing was wired up fine. we spent a few days trying to figure out what was going on. finally in a desperation we took apart the cdi (not an easy task) and my dad (eletricain) managed to find the problem. don't know if this helps, but i hope it does.
