Hey all,
Has anyone ever considered fabricating their own slip on exhaust for their quad? Seems to me that for about $20 someone could get a straight through glasspack muffler and with some exhaust pipe and a little welding make themselves a low (or no) backpressure muffler with a reducer to slip over their factory header pipe. Sure would be cheaper than paying $200 for an aftermarket one.

I've seen a cherrybomb on a raptor before. Honestly it just made noise, performance increases were minimal despite the fact that the raptor is so corked up in stock form.
IMO it's better to go with a real slip on or full system in the long run.

Save your $20.00, and just gut the stock exhaust. Works for true rednecks everywhere. While your at it, gut the exhaust on everything you own, lawn tractor, car, pressure washer, whatever. If anything you get worse performance, but it sure sounds cool.
