anyone have a 250 Pro-X cylinder?

I have a few questions for someone who has one of these or has set one up. From what I hear these have a better port design and carry more coolant. I currently have a cylinder ported by Eric Gorr that is .070 out (almost done for) and I want more power, while staying legal for the 250 class. I'm aware of the new Powervalve cylinders coming out..but I don't feel these will be within my budget. So my question(s) are, will a properly ported Pro-X 250 cylinder have more power than a ported stock cylinder 250? I'm not a big fan of CT, so where did you have yours done? also, do the coolheads that you would use on a stock cylinder work on these cylinders? thanks for the input everyone.

I have the CT Pro-X cylinder. I am sure it is more powerful but if I had to do it all over I would have bought another stock cylinder and saved alot of money because I wouldn't have had it ported. You are going to spend the same amount of money either buying the Pro-X clinder or buying a stock cylinder and then modifying to the hilt. Personally if I were going to do the latter, I would get the Pro-X clinder as I think it is better than any configuration you could come up with a stock cylinder. The extra water capacity is nice and the head is very trick. The use of o-rings ensures better heat transfer and no leaks. You can get other companies to port the cylinder for you. I have seen ads where LRD sells them as well.
