My experience is that a K&N with Outerwears will pass dirt. I ran them for about a year, and at each (frequent!) filter change, I would wipe the intake out with a white cloth to see if there was any dirt passing. There was always a fine film of gritty dirt!

Play it safe, and go with the UNI!!!

The K&N flows more air, so of course it is going to have greater "performance" (after a rejet). But, if you are toasting your engine at the same time, what sense does that make???????????
