So, I just put in a jet kit for my 660 raptor. And I took it out for a ride to see the difference and at slower speeds it putters. Now if I gas it it seem fine, but if i slow down it putters. Does any one have a suggestion as to why??

 

What OTHER mods have been done to the bike? I am a mechanic at Struhall's Racing in Rusk, Texas and you wouldn't believe the guys that come in and want us to jet their carbs. MOST machines are tuned at the factory per factory specs. For example, if you add an aftermarket exhaust system to enhance the flow characteristics of your head, then jetting would be acceptable. If you change your cam out for an aftermarket or otherwise different profile, your carb will need to be tuned accordingly. Simple Law of Physics. For every action, there is a opposite and equal reaction. (JETTING UP + NO OTHER MODS = TOO MUCH FUEL, SPUTTERING MACHINE) (JETTING DOWN + NO OTHER MODS = LEAN CONDITIONS, SPUTTERING MACHINE)
