Default I think this si the right forum to post this

I would like to make an atv street legal and i was wondering if anybody has done this and how they did it? I know that the laws are diffrent in every state but could anybody help me find some info about this in maryland? THX IN ADVANCE

DUDE!!! i also want to do the same thing here in TEXAS. but i dont know exactly what i need to do. I want to do it to a yfz450. Im sorry i cant help you but maybe someone will know what has to be done. of course blinkers and brake light, but is there any thing else. This would **** my neighbor cop off if i found out how to do it. The cop is out to get me and hates atvs so i figure if i make it street legal then i win.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Bad news for Texas residence. An atv is titled as an Off Road Vehicle. No matter what you do to it, it is not titled to be on the road, and won't be legal.

Now, you can get one for farm use, and it eases the restrictions a little. But if you're planning on driving it down the main strip, you might as well kiss it good bye.

I don?t see where Maryland allows ATVs to be licensed for the street. This topic has come up before. Some guys in different states who are gifted at dealing with bureaucracies have done it but it was not easy.


States that allow it generally require:
? Turn signals
? Horn
? Headlight
? Brake light
? Rear view mirror
? Higher speed rated tires
? Driver with a license
? Insurance

i know dirtwheels magazine made a rhino street legal in arizona but the laws are looser there and its a rhino.
