Default Best exhaust for a scrambler 500?

I have a completely stock 2006 scrambler 500 4x4 and I'm looking for some good exhaust. I want a little more sound than the stock exhaust and of course more power. I want usable power too, not just hp on the top end only. I do all types of riding and I want a usable gain in hp mostly from low to mid rpms. I have been looking at the supertrapp systems. Also a fmf megamax slip on. I saw that aaen performance makes a rebuildable muffler and that hpd makes a complete system. Would just a slip on muffler be sufficient or do I need to buy a whole system complete with headpipe?

Well it depends i have a slip on on my 400ex (white bros. e series) and it gave me noticable gains but I am getting a full system yosh for my 450 because it is suposed to help it even more. As for the exhaust itself i never realy heard anything about supertraps pipes and the fmf's are decent but if ur willing to spend the money (and they make them for your quad) ide either go with a white bros or the fmf.

How loud is your white brothers e series muffler? I'm wanting more sound than the stocker but I don't want it crazy loud. My uncle had a fmf on his scrambler about 4 years ago and he only ran it for 2 weeks and took it back off. His had the discs in it and supposedly a spark arrestor and I didn't think it was too bad but he said once you ride it for a while it gets annoying. I found the white brothers e series for my scrambler. It definitely looks good. Just worried about the sound level. Is yours annoyingly loud or not too bad?

Well mine is real loud because I took it all apart and i had the "pro-meg" wich is louder than the s-bend and stock they run about mid 90 dbs so it will definatly louder than stock but it isnt anoying. But i spend a lot of time around pulling trucks/tractors and so my loud and your loud are probably diffrent. Its a great pipe and you cant go wrong with it and I'm pritty sure they make a quiet core if it is too loud.

I have narrowed it down to two exhaust systems now. Either the Pro Circuit T4 full system for $405 or the Supertrapp IDS2 full system for $305. I called and found out that the IDS2 has the quiet core in it, so that would definitely help keep the noise down compared to the Pro Circuit exhaust. Also how hard is it to rejet the stock scrambler 500 carb? I know that I would have to rejet it with either system. And I'm also fixing to buy a K&N air filter for it as well and I've heard about people rejetting just for the air filter let alone the filter and a full exhaust.

How loud is the Pro Circuit T-4? I like the looks of the t-4 better than the supertrapp but the supertrapp is quieter and $100 cheaper. But I did find on Pro Circuits website that they do sell a quiet tip for the mufflers.

Where do I find a jetting chart for my scrambler? I am trying to find out what jets to use with the pro circuit full exhaust and a k&n air filter.
