Is it possible to build a Banshee from the ground up using only aftermarket non-oem parts?
I think this would be a great long term project and I could come out at the end with one hell of a nice (though expensive) machine. Would it be cheaper to buy a used machine and swap out all parts except for stock parts that wouldnt bring any improvement by changing? Also what parts would have to be OEM because there is no aftermarket mod? I know Laegars frames are like $2300 new I would want to start by aquiring a frame, but 2300 is pretty steep, so I thought about going with a used frame. Does anybody know where and for how much $$ I could pick one up (unbent of course) My goal is to have a superfast and superlight machine. I'd like it to be at least 25-50 lbs lighter than stock.

Call around to the different companies, LRD, duncan, trinity(they can help you allot, though I dont like them), C&O, Port Magic. Tell them you are looking for a used frame(lonestar, leagars) and ask them if they can tell you anybody that has one. I know of a couple people who have found complete bikes for a little of nothing.
