Probly a dumb question, but just wanted to know.

Has anyone modified to fit a car cv axle on a 4 wheeler?
They are a fraction of the cost.I thought about tring it,but thought I'ld ask first if its been done before.

I havent really put hard thoughts into the idea, but the other thing I thought of and will probly do if/when a cv axle breaks is to take the one good half and the other 1/2 of another one and weld'em together.
Just a thought for now,but I think it possible. Then again,if one side broke the other side might be damaged also. But I would try it to save $200.I already have have a few broke ones I got from a AC shop.
