I picked up a complete warrior less drivetrain the other day. seems to be complete except for a engine and tranny. I was wanderin if anyone had a suggestion for a drive train ? I would like to keep it rideable for trails but radical enough to smoke out my friends quads like the banshees and such. i have priced a new drivetrain for a raptor and think not. way too much green! I am kinda leaning to a 4 stroke but open to any.Do i want to run a streetbike setup like a 500 or run a snowmobile setup with the auto clutch? any help or insight would be great.

I picked this one up at a salvage yard for 200.00 bucks the guy said he didn't know what to do with it. I have heard that Yamaha R1 drivetrain is basiclly the same as a 600 I am just tryin to find out what Hp this would be and the torque to see if that could be a option. I am also considering a 600 FI from a snomobile. I just want this quad to be rideable for trails as much as possible

Thats easy...call up East Coast Atv and ask about there new and used Warrior engines. That is if you want a trail bike or if you want to really make it a screamer, go ask about EAST COAST ATV's banshee engines. Possibly get a Motofast 2 into 1 pipe. Bolt on the 2 into 1 carb. and there you have it. A fast trail bike. Welp just an idea. Later guys, Kenny

I have a warrior with an FZ600 motor. It works well. FZ,FJ, and Radian and Maxium 550 motors will go in the warrior with minimum engineering. These motors are available cheap. Good luck.

The FZ/FJ motor works slick because 1. It's aircooled. 2. The oil pan fits between the stock lower part of the frame. 3. You can still work on the motor once it is in the bike, I have removed my valve cover and my oil pan with minimal obstacles. It's also nice to keep the motor and quad all Yamaha although I feel the need to put my Kaw EX500 motor in a quad but my Mojave refuses to die!
