If you have a steel bolt and aluminum case, then
get a can of freon gas, once you have a wrench or what ever tool to give you a good bite, carefuly use the freon gas to freezzzzzz the bolt, the steel will shrink in size while the aluminum stays the same size, then try to remove the bolt, I have done this many times. *** Note: Use the Freon that is freindly to the ozone would not like to tee off the eviro's Ron

BrokeMyBanshee, go to this site:

http://www.helicoil.com/products/helicoil.html

Helicoils are invaluable tools for repairing stripped threads in aluminum.

Doubt this would work but on all my stuck bolts i use liquid wrench (comes in a yellow can). It works really good and frees up everything.

broke...you should be able to see the visegrips I'm talking about at this link... http://www.mytoolstore.com/american/vis003.html
I got mine at Menards but they have them at Home Depot too [a little cheaper at Home Depot]. The great thing about them is they actually force the nut/bolt head into the "V" so there is no way they can strip unless the bolt is already so shot that it needs to be drilled out.

Broke..another thing to remember{s}never overtorque bolts going into aluminim set to proper specs,on older threaded holes it's good idea to "chase" threads with tap, clean up bolts on wire wheeel prior to re-assembly.
If a bolt seems to be stuck a little heat goes along way.
99warmachine ...greatwebsite! I ordered catalog& cd.

Are you sure there isn't a nut or something on the other side that you just aren't seeing. If heat and cold won't do it the get out the drill and be done with it.
