Get the the 500 big bore kit from four stroke tech. then your cream anything just about.

Four Stroke Tech doesn't have a webpage but they do have a phone number and an ad in most four-wheeler magazines. And I believe at last check the price for the 500cc Kit was about $2,500.

Does four stroke tech have a web page??? Where can i get in touch with these people otherwise (mail and phone)???
And how many $$$ is this gonna set me back!!!
Oh yeah, how much HP etc would i get out of these 3 different kits???

Yes you can make a warrior much faster as with any ATV. No you will not get the two stroke snap out of it. The only thumper to deliver something similar to a two stroke is the YZ400F (One of my friends is building a leagers YZF, it ought to be interesting), but they still get beat out of the hole by the 250's. Also, a bike magazine said that the YZ250 is actually easier to ride than the YZ400F, thats right a 2-stroke is easier to ride. I myself used to ride nothing but thumpers, but now I actually prefere 2-strokes (I run a 330R), they are funner to ride because I don't get bored of the same old constant pull of a 4-stroke, if you want a rush just giver gas and away you go.

I was at Red Bud and Tim Farr ran his YZ400F quad with basically a stock motor and he got fifth. Mark Baldwin said his lap times were actually faster with the YZ over his 250 at his pratice track at home, but not getting a good start makes it hard to win, especially at Red Bud (Unless Your Doug Gust, he can pick people off!!!).

Another thing Warriors have a severe limiting factor, they have only 2 valves so eventually they hit a brick wall as far as getting more power out of them. All you can gain after a point is torque only.

What kinda motor swap you thinking of, if your thinking of a two stroke then you might as well by a Banshee, they actually handle better than a Warrior. But if you want the ultimate in handling and engine building options, two words, Honda 250R...

Guys

you have all missed the obvoius contender, Powroll, they do both a 400 and 430 stroker kits plus all the other stuff, porting etc etc. They also have a specially ground cam profile specifically to suit the stroker engines.

If you are seriuos about an engine build talk with Dave heap (da Heapster), he's just done a 400 stroker and can't believe the difference.

If you have access to the November 1998 issue of 4-wheel atv action check out the test on the FST Warrior 500. Its actually a 490cc motor, and its $2500.00 kit. That's a lot of bucks!

My friend you must determine what type of riding you do the most! Then you will be able to determine what you need to do. With good riding skills your warrior should easily keep up with or even beat a banshee in the woods (speaking from exp.) Only because of powerband difference. Out on the sand or straight away FORGET IT!!! BANSHEE WILL SMOKE YOU especally because their are so few that dont have mods. I have a warrior and love it I ride mostly on trails among the trees and mud but when I go to the sand I just have to DEAL WITH IT and enjoy watching the banchees kick butt. Someday I will have one of each!!!!!

Follow these steps;
1. Sell your Warrior
2. Buy a used '94 or '95 Banshee
3. With the money saved buying an older bike put that money into modding the Banshee and kick all kinds os a$$
