S96, I thought we had this discussion, lol, well heres my input about it.

Reeds give you better throttle response by allowing more air flow, and torque( I believe, correct me if im wrong).

The Boysen Reeds and Delta V-Force as well are highly recommended by most banshee owners. The come in the carbon and regular plastic and I have heard that the plastic ones will last longer.

He asked about Reed spacers not reeds. The reed spacer smoothes out the midrange/pipe hit.You want this for mx/woods riding. For dragging/hillclimbs you dont want it,need all the power fast.

I read somewhere that reed spacers are effective on some bikes because they space the reeds further from the turbulance of the piston. I've tried them on a few of my bikes at one time or another. My 86 Tri-Z 250 had the most dramatic change, seemed to help overall. An ATC250R I had seemed to gain a very small amount on top end. My Banshee I have now had no noticable change, ditto for boost bottles. I know there is an excellent website for 2 stroke theory, I think it is www.macdizzy.com
