I am having trouble with my sons Quad fouling plugs rapidly. It's an E-ton 40cc Rascal and I tried adjusting the mixture but it still fouls plugs within 10-15min of riding. The Dealer said use 40:1 to 50:1. I last put in a mixture of 50:1 with Yamalube but it still fouled within 10 min.

It seemed to happen after I put a heavy mixture of 25:1 in (owners manual had wrong mixture noted). Since then I drained the tank and refilled with the leaner mixtures.

Is there something else I can do? Can it be a carb problem?

How is the bike running before it fouls? Does it 'blubber' or does it rev out all the way? Have you done any mods and is the jetting stock? Is your son reving it out? 2-strokes don't like to run at low rpms.

There are no mods and the jetting has not been touched. It runs fine right after a new plug is put in. When it does foul, it happens all at once, no blubbering or bogging, it just stops and won't start until the fouled plug is removed.

He is not reving it out but does not crawl around with it either. It has a throttle limiter on it so he cannot fully rev it (at least until he gets bigger and more experienced).

It's designed as a entry level quad so I would think it can be used as such (i.e. using the limiter for training purposes).

Determine what throttle position he is running most of the time. If it's around 1/2 try dropping the needle (raise the clip) one or 2 positions.

He is using it at about 1/3 to 1/2 full throttle. so I will try dropping it one position at a time to be safe, thanks.
