tips/suggestions for painting frame

That is true powder coat is tough and really not that much money you have to make sure you are dealing with a good co. cuz i have heard of guys gettin ripped at this the shop says it's powder coat but really a spray can job w/ 8 coats of clear and you can't tell till it's all together and 1st ride it's full of dings. But there are a ton of places that won't do this only a few bad eggs. check out Easyriders mag there are quite a few places in P.A that do this. Also i have seen a buddy of mines frame done with that Rhino lining that is really trick and lots of colors.

I agree with you on the powdercoating. It lasts a long time IF done right. But I also have had good luck with a urethane single stage automotive paint. I like Nason 2K. I have this on my 250R frame and looks great a year later. Plus you can match any color.
