Just picked up this 1986 honda 4tracs just to find it does not turn very sharp.
The front end has stearing stops ,just wonding if anyone ground them down some ,and installed some angled tie rods for clearnes.
The above wheels are turned all the way !

 

Im not sure, but they might have some aftermarket replacements that allow more travel.

 

I'm not super familiar with that model, but those front tires look very big (look like rear tires to me). I would guess they are not the proper size and those might ever be rear rims as well, and that is making the front steer weird.

 

The old Honda Fourtrax TRX350 had 24x9x11 tires front & back, Ohtsu A/T 502. Those look to be the stockers...

i bet that thing never turned sharp

if you want to turn it sharp, give it the gas and whip the rear end around, or pul it up on 2 wheels

 

Yes 1986 is the first year for a 4 wheeler and a 4x4
These are the orginal front wheels ,front and back are the same size.
Just going to have to do a spin on turns
Tring to mount a winch on it tonight ,a 2500 pd from Costco

 

1986 was the first 4x4, the first quad was Suzuki in I believe 1982...Polaris came out with their automatic 2wd in 1985...
