I was just wondering how i would go about putting a polaris snowmobile engine in a 400L frame. Im open to all suggestions at this time, including what motor i should use and if you know of anyone that has done this. Thanks

I know it`s not a polaris snwomobile engine, But I know a guy (I`m not close friends with him or anything, I just know him) who put a Bombardier Rotax 583 into his Polaris Sport.
And man did it boogie. Dont ask me anyhitng about how he put it in, i just know that he did.

I was at an ice race yesterday (northern MN), and a fellow competitor has put a 440 motor out of an XCR in his 400 Scram 4x4. He said it took 6 months of planning & doing to complete it... He said he had to modify the frame, but I noticed he was able to run the stock clutch cover. the pipe comes out the bottom of the chassis. Overall, it appears that he did an OK job. (he was running 2nd in the studded open class until he looped it, racing against about 8 other racers...) I can get you his phone # if you are interested, or have any ?'s.
