We have been going back and forth in the Honda forum, about synthetics. Redline is JASO MB yet wet clutch safe. In the link below, I give an explaination for this....

Also, there are three very different types of synthetics, so one needs to consider that issue as well. Most folks ignorantly, think that syntetic is synthetic!

Interesting that this post is in the "performance" forum! It is indeed possible to get a horsepower/torque increase running one of the synthetics that contain a new generation of organic (yet wet clutch safe!) friction modifiers and have less parasitic drag. Examples here are Redline, and Maxima Ultra and 530MX.
